15th Annual Kids Day America
Posted by Dr. Woodbeck 2 years, 11 months ago.On Saturday, June 6th, 2009 communities worldwide will participate in the fifteenth annual "Kids Day America™," a Health, Safety, and Environmental Awareness Day. I will be sponsoring the event locally from 12:00 noon until 3:00 pm at 45023 W. Pontiac Trail in Novi.
The event will provide essential information on crime prevention, Internet and child safety, and environmental awareness. My office will donate special child ID cards to every child who attends, and the Novi Police Department will be on hand to provide FREE fingerprinting of all the children. The Novi Fire Department is bringing a fire truck and will teach fire safety tips to the children. I will provide free health screenings, and will be distributing vital information on disease prevention and health promotion. We will also provide free food and fun for everyone. There will be special give-aways and free prize drawings every half-hour! In addition we are raising money for Novi's D.A.R.E. program.
