Cervical lateral flexion

 

To perform the cervical lateral flexion stretch:

  1. Bend your head as far as possible to the right shoulder, making sure not to raise the right shoulder.  Keep your eyes focused directly forward to prevent your head from rotating at all during the stretch.
  2. Place your right hand along the top of your head and apply gentle pressure, pulling the head further into the stretch.
  3. Hold this position for 1.5 - 2 seconds and return to the neutral position.

Repeat the above steps for a total of 10 repetitions on the right and 10 repetitions on the left.
