I am 58-year-old female and Nurse Practitioner. I ran my first marathon at age 50 and have been running 5-15 miles every week until late May 2009 when I suddenly experienced severe, continuous back pain. After Race for the Cure in May (best time ever), I woke up with excruciating back pain and foot drop. A CAT scan revealed a pinched nerve at L5.
